Storm

The photo reference used for this piece was of a stormy afternoon and it drew me in so-to-speak. I painted it as if I were in the storm itself being tossed about by the winds and weather and used my pastels as tools to describe the energy I was feeling. I've always loved storms, especially thunder and lightning. There's nothing like watching a storm start to energize with flashes of light and cracks of thunder.
