Sunrise Over NY Coast
This was from a photo I captured during a morning flight I took from NY to DC. I thought it would be a fun painting keeping the wing of the plane in the foreground with the ground lights twinkling below. I underpainted with nupastel and alcohol, I started with soft pastel in the sky and layer in suggestions of the sunrise before working in the ground below and plane wing.
