After the Downpour

We had just had a huge downpour in the Black Hills during our vacation. The many shapes of the water splashing, dripping, and drizzling over the rocks fascinated me. The splashes against the beautifully colored rocks made a brilliant contract in color. The way the huge rocks and varied shapes of rocks fit together in a puzzle type arrangement was also interestingThe photo shows the motion coming from the large amount of water that came so fast. The movement of the water kept drawing me back to painting this.
