Never Say Never

This piece is very personal and came together as a bit of a shock since I have only painted a handful of portraits in pastel and wasn't sure I could do it. I wanted it to really make a statement about how I see the world infused with bright, bold colors and emotions. I used to tell myself I couldn't draw unaware how much that statement and attitude would hold me back and so I wanted this piece to be a testament of "never say never" because you never know what life has in store for you!
