Tuscan Road in Shadows
"Tuscan Road in Shadows" is a small vertical pastel painting showing the late afternoon sun creating long shadow on a road in Tuscany [Castelvecchio, Valleriana, to be precise]. The olive trees that line the road are bathed in light, colored in turquoise. The country road leads on down to some hills in the Italian landscape. The colorful image features slightly unusual colors for a fun impressionistic effect and because I am experimenting with color palettes I have never tried before.
