After the Storm
I took the reference photo from a big nearby hill after a rainstorm. I often see wonderful cloudscapes from up there.
For this piece, I used Rives BFK paper. I first did an underpainting with pastels and rubbing alcohol brushed on top. Then I applied clear gesso and worked texture into certain areas before it dried. After that I used a variety of pastels to create the painting.
