Beginners Mind
It is expressive of what can be seen while lingering, gazing, and taking pause from a pre-conditioned approach. In the Beginners Mind, I see warmth rising lazily from the clutches of the wintry snow. Dark colors release colors from obscurity. As they lean against each other, the light encourages them to fully express themselves. The cardinals, connected by their resolve, find a chosen perch to offer the viewer a vibrant display of their plumage. A peaceful space emerges revealing the calm synchronicity existing between what is viewed in the front and what is visible in the distance, both extremes present in the moment. In the Beginners Mind, the painting is never finished. It will continue to reveal itself. This is my Beginners Mind.
