As a mother of young children I find much of my day revolves around food and I'm finding myself increasingly drawn toward painting still lifes of food in the middle of being eaten. You can envision the people, the conversation, the table everyone is sitting around. The mundane and powerful. The leftovers and crumbs mixed with the sustenance and knitting together that happens over meals.
