On a trip to the Loire Valley, I found the gentle reflections in the river very compelling. I loved the way that the soft currents in the water broke the reflections of the houses on the shore. This piece was painted on Art 400, with a hard pastel (Nupastel) alcohol wash underpainting with various soft pastels on top.
